PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag and a bag-like article which can be fastened tightly and cannot be slipped off completely when used as a shoe cover or a refuse bag. SOLUTION: A plurality of belt-like strings 3 are provided at an opening of a main body 2 for housing or covering articles with each of one ends thereof connected integrally to the main body 2 while each of the other ends thereof being made free, and holding means (a plurality of pairs of incisions 8 for inserting the belt-like strings 3 therethrough) are formed at parts slightly close to the front of the opening of the main body 2 to prevent the belt-like strings 3 from being shifted toward the opening.
