METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SIGNAL TRANSFER RATE OF COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND SEND-RECEIVE SET THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A method for controlling signal transfer rate of a communication system and a send-receive set therefor are provided to reduce interference to other mobile stations in hand-off of a mobile station using a supplemental channel and minimize the lowering of receiving capacity. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(201) receives a signal through a duplexer(200). A pilot signal demodulator(202) demodulates a pilot signal from the received signal. A pilot signal power measurer(203) measures electric power of the pilot signal. A forward data rate decider(204) compares the measured electric power of the pilot signal with a preliminarily set threshold for outputting a control signal controlling forward data rate of a base station. An exclusive control channel modulator(205) modulates the generated control signal. A transmitter(206) transmits the modulated control signal. The base station receives and demodulates the transmitted control signal, and controls signal transfer rate according to the demodulated signal.
