摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device such as a liquid crystal device of an active matrix drive system, capable of adding sufficient storage capacitance to a pixel electrode, even if a pixel pitch is made minute in size and reducing the diameter of a contact hole communicating with the pixel electrode. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device is provided with a TFT 30, data line 6a, scanning line 3a, capacitance line 3b and pixel electrode 9a on a TFT array substrate 10. The pixel electrode is connected electrically with the TFT via a barrier layer 80 by two contact holes 8a and 8b. A first dielectric film 2 is interposed between a part of a semiconductor layer and the capacitance line to form a first storage capacitance 70a, and a second dielectric film 81 is interposed between the capacitance line and a part of the barrier layer to form a second storage capacitance 70b.
