<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dividing device and a dividing method of a cathode ray tube, in which a cathode ray tube can be sufficiently heated along its nearly entire perimeter by utilizing heat of an electric heating wire, and in which heating unevenness can hardly occur. SOLUTION: A dividing apparatus comprises a cutting device 20, which makes scratches on nearly entire perimeter surface where a cathode ray tube is to be divided, and rolling devices 30, which bring one heating wire 15 into a close contact with nearly entire perimeter surface of each of the cathode ray tubes. By using only one heating wire, an area where the heating wire does not come into the close contact can be reduced, and the heating unevenness is reduced. By having the cutting device, the scratching position can be made to be a divided surface. Thus the dividing work becomes easier and stabilized.</p> |
