PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated low varistor voltage varistor. SOLUTION: A sintered laminate 16 is made by laminating and sintering together a ceramics sheet 12 with an Ag internal electrode 11, a ceramics sheet 14 with a Pt internal electrode 13, a housing ceramics sheet 15. The thickness is determined so that each ZnO ceramics crystal grain 17 contacts both Ag internal electrode 11 and Pt internal electrode 13. A ZnO ceramics crystal grain 17 and Pt internal electrode 13 are in Schottky contact, while 17 and Ag internal electrode 11 are in ohmic contact of low resistance. |
