PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for route-outside-station selection which decrease the probability that a route can not be selected at a halfway repeater station and a busy state is encountered when origination outside a station is performed by selecting a route outside the station accommodated by another PBX and then enables the origination outside the station by selecting the route outside the station accommodated by the other PBX through necessary irreducible data setting even if a network becomes complicated and large in scale. SOLUTION: The network is constituted which includes PBXs 1 to 3 connected by leased lines 41 to 44 to one another. The respective PBXs 1 to 3 are composed of CPUs 11 to 31 for switching control and communication means 12 to 32 which allow the service memories 13 to 33 to store route selection data, etc., and the CPUs 11 to 31 to communicate with each other.
