Internet trustee gift-voucher comprises two information zones containing validation codes, one of which is concealed and marked prior to use. A key correlates between the zones and the concealed zone is uncovered and an identifier transmitted via Internet to a server for authentication of the voucher. The voucher can also be hand delivered and a validation code sent over the Internet.
