PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide opening and closing type roof bearing equipment permitting the displacement at the bearing portion due to temperature and working error, buffering seismic force and also restricting the displacement at the bearing portion due to snow toll and wind. SOLUTION: A roof supporting shaft 3 connecting the bottom of the end portion of a steel truss bearing a long-spanned roof is supported in a slidable manner by a traveling carriage 4 through a spherical bearing 21 to the coupling portion 2 of an opening-closing type roof bearing device 1, a horizontal load cushioning means 5 comprising a damper 51 and a spring 52 is arranged to this traveling carriage 4; and a roof supporting 3, the damper 51 and the spring 52 of the horizontal load cushioning means 5 are coupled by a coupling frame 6, and the horizontal load is transmitted to the traveling carriage 4 through the damper 51 and the spring 52.
