PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter which is not likely to break down. SOLUTION: By turning on and off an FET transistor Q1 with a control circuit 2, a voltage is increased by energy stored in an inductor L1, and a charging voltage of a capacitor C1 is made higher than a voltage of a DC power source E. In a state where the FET transistor Q1 turns off, a voltage of forward polarity is applied to a circulating diode D1, so that the diode D1 is turned on and a small load current flows. When the FET the FET transistor Q1 turn on, the reverse recovery time of the diode D1 is at most 0.4 μs, so that a period when a voltage reverse polarity is applied to the diode D1 is short. A large short current will, not flow from a load 3. When parasitic oscillations are generated by a parasitic induction component L11 and a parasitic capacitance component CQ1, only a small current flows so that malfunction will not be generated in the control circuit 2, and large stresses will not be applied to the FET transistor Q1. |
