An aluminum one-piece container body (112), defining a sidewall (132) and bottom (128), has a substantially hemispherical or otherwise convex, preferably curvilinear, surface (118) surrounding a central concave panel (114). A plurality of feet (134 a-f) extend downwardly from the convex region (118). The convex region provides strength advantages associated with containing pressurized material. A concave panel (114) accommodates changes in differential pressures such as arising from pasteurization or other heating. The feet (134 a-f) are preferably configured to provide substantial stackability and conveyability as well as support stability for the container (112).
