The air spring (1) with a roller bellows is arranged a vehicle structure and a wheel steerer or bearer and has its roller bellows (2) which at its outwardly and inwardly rolled end areas is fixed radially to upper and lower support pots (3,4) by tension straps (5,6). The roller flexure (8) in the area of an outer surface (10) locates axially on an adjacent structural part (9). The upper and lower support pots together with the roller bellows and possible other parts enclose a hollow space (5), fed with a predetermined or desired variable air pressure. The roller bellows in the area of the outer surface has a greater wall thickness than in other adjacent areas.
