PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a comparatively large buffer stroke in a narrow area, to reduce a buffer device itself in size/weight, to easily mount the device on a traveling body such as an existing wheelchair by a simple improvement, to mitigate shock/vibration transferred from a road surface when the traveling body is made to travel and to improve the seating comfortableness. SOLUTION: One end part of a main bracket 12 is rotatably mounted on a main frame 31 and a wheel 33 is mounted at the other end part. A buffer member 31 is provided to energize the main bracket 12 in the direction opposite to a rotating direction by shock during the traveling. The main bracket 12 is mounted in place of the wheel 33 mounted at a mounting position for the main frame 31.
