摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic head consisting of a structure having high output and high saturation magnetization and specific permeability corresponding to high density recording and high coercive force of a medium without generating a pseudo gap and capable of being inexpensively provided. SOLUTION: Non-magnetic members 5 and 5 of glass, ceramic and the like having thicknessΔd are formed at a recording medium facing surface side (an upper surface side in the figure) of cores 1 and 2. Metal thin films 4 and 4 are formed at the butting end faces of the non-magnetic members to form a structure in which the metal thin films 4 and 4 protrude to the recording medium facing surface side more than the cores essentially byΔd.
