PURPOSE: A method for controlling a mouse is provided for a user having a password to determine the mouse use time, and stop the mouse action if the determined time has passed so as to prevent a child from using a computer for a long time. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of driving and initializing a mouse(1,2), reading values from registers(3), checking if a prior operation mode is used(4), executing the mouse in case that the prior operation mode is used(5), selecting a security mode and checking if a set time has passed when the prior operation mode is not used(6,7), stopping an operation of the mouse if the set time has passed(8), asking a password if a user tries to change a setting of the security mode(10,11), enabling the user to input a password and a security time, checking if the security time is zero, driving the mouse when the security time is zero and setting the security mode when the security time is not zero, and storing the security mode and the security time. |
