PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable gas cooking appliance capable of easily containing in a pocket with a thin thickness and having excellent safety for not scorching a table or the like by shielding a downward heat in the case of using. SOLUTION: The portable gas cooking appliance comprises a rectangular metal containing case 51 having a pair of right and left cases 51b, 51a opened in a V shape by hinges 52, and a gas cooking appliance body 53 detachably attached to the case 51 and contained in the case 51. In this case, the body 53 is mounted at the cases 51a, 51b opened in the V shape. Thus, the cases 51a, 51b become heat shield plates. A pan or the like can be placed on upper sides of the cases 51a, 51b opened in the V shape.
