PURPOSE: A method for processing data in communication is provided to transceive mass and high-quality data and reduce processing time of a CPU and minimize packet data loss generated during a data transceiving process. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether multimedia data transmission is requested(S1). Multimedia data formed with images, speech, or characters are prepared to be transmitted to a third party(S2). CPU processing speed of each module is measured by using a toll evaluating the capacity of a CPU(S3). A module estimated to require much processing time is found out(S4). Encoding by modules is performed by applying a codec using a multi media extensions technology for compressing multimedia data(S5). The compressed multimedia data are transmitted to the third party(S6). It is judged whether receiving of a message formed with multimedia data are requested(S7). The compressed multimedia data are restored by applying the codec using the multi media extensions technology(S8). Moving pictures, still images, speech, and characters in the restored multimedia data are confirmed(S9).
