The vehicle has a fuel cell system (16), a drive motor (12), power electronics, a heat exchanger, a radiator (24), high and low temperature heat transfer circuits (4,14), first and second valves (32, 36) for connecting the high and low temperature circuits and a controller (42) that responds to the heating demands of the vehicle to open and close the first valve (32) to alter the temperature of the medium in each circuit.
