PURPOSE: Provided is a composition of Korean hot pepper paste for cooking a kind of hot chowder made of freshwater fish and vegetables, which can serve improved taste of hot chowder with clean soup without fishy smell. CONSTITUTION: The composition includes 52-53wt% of powdered red pepper, 9-10wt% of processed salt, 16-17wt% of grain syrup and 100wt% of water and the hot pepper paste is prepared by putting 200g of water in a container, adding 540g of grain syrup, 300g of processed salt melted in water of 500g and 1700g of powdered red pepper to the water and stirring the mixture well to be stored in a jar.
