PURPOSE: A sheet supplying method for a printer is provided to prevent sheets from being slipped regardless of reduction of frictional force of a roller. CONSTITUTION: In case of transferring sheets from a second sheet cassette, a pickup roller and third and fourth transfer rollers are rotated at a speed of 140.14mm/sec for transferring the sheet to a preliminary arranging roller. After contacting the sheet to the preliminary arranging roller, the transfer rollers progress the sheet for 0.1 second. Herein, the transfer rollers arrange the sheet while forming a curl at a front end portion of the sheet. Then, the transfer rollers are stopped. The preliminary arranging roller is rotated at a speed of 81.45mm/sec for transferring the sheet to a seventh transfer roller. After eliminating the curl, compressing force of the transfer rollers for holding the sheet is operated as a braking force. Thus, the fourth transfer roller is rotated at a speed of 81.45mm/sec with the preliminary arranging roller. Herein, the fourth transfer roller transfers the sheet with the preliminary arranging roller. Therefore, slip of the sheet is prevented.
