PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems about the extrudability of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin under extrusion e.g. with a T-die extruder, the problems being caused by an antioxidant (Irganox 1076) added for preventing the oxidation yellowing, and thereby to provide a crosslinked ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin having a good external appearance and a high productivity. SOLUTION: An ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin of 100 pts.wt. containing an organic peroxide is compounded with 0.01-0.1 pt.wt. pentaerythritol tetrakis[3-(3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate] (Irganox 1010) to raise the gel fraction after the cross-linking and simultaneously to ensure a continuous extrusion time of 24 h or longer.
