PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing a stent using laser cutting are provided to manufacture a precise stent the surface or end part of which is smooth, improve the cooling structure of a metal pipe processed, and simply solve supporting structure and alignment problems of the metal pipe during manufacturing of the stent. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing a stent comprises a fixing chuck (42) fixing one end of a metal pipe (40) to be processed by a stent; a driving part (44) rotating the fixing chuck (42) around a center axis of the metal pipe; tables (50,52) to which the fixing chuck (42) and the driving part (44) are mounted, and which is movable in the horizontal direction; a cooling gas supplying pipe (46) which is connected to the metal pipe fixed to the fixing chuck (42) so as to supply a cooling gas into the metal pipe; a laser generator (30) generating a laser beam irradiated onto the surface of the metal pipe; and a processing head (34) which focus irradiates the laser beam generated in the laser generator (30) onto the surface of the metal pipe, and the front end part of which has a nozzle that ejects a gas in a high pressure onto the surface of the metal pipe of an area to which the laser beam is irradiated. |
