PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching circuit for pulse power generation that prevents breakdown caused by applying an excessive voltage to a semiconductor switch, even if fluctuations exist in the characteristics of a plurality of semiconductor switches or in turn-on timing, and eliminates the need for providing insulation among drive circuits. SOLUTION: A plurality of capacitors 12 are connected to a DC power supply 11 in parallel, a series circuit of a semiconductor switch 13 and a primary-side conductor 14 is connected in parallel with each of the capacitors, and each primary-side conductor is joined magnetically to each of a plurality magnetic cores 15. A plurality of secondary-side conductors 16 that are magnetically joined to each of the magnetic cores 15 are connected in series, while the voltages that are induced in the secondary-side conductors are added together. A plurality of semiconductor switches 13 are turned on and off by a plurality of drive circuits 18.
