PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustor for fuel reforming device for which the supplying amount of a combustion gas can be adjusted at the time of starting and normally operating the combustor without providing any actuator. SOLUTION: This catalytic combustor 1 burns fuel and an oxidizing agent supplied to a gas chamber 11 by means of a combustion catalyst 12 provided on the downstream side of the chamber 11. The catalyst 12 is divided into not less than two catalyst layers 121 and 122 and the fuel and oxidizing agent used for the normal operation of the combustor 1 are supplied to one divided catalyst layer 122. In addition, the fuel and oxidizing agent used for starting the combustor 1 are supplied to the other catalyst layer 121. This combustor 1 is provided with a supply guide 13 having a plurality of through holes 131 which are made to also supply the fuel and oxidizing agent used for the normal operation and supplied to the catalyst layer 122 to the other catalyst layer 121. |
