PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cut-off brush having an easy association of a component, such as a stopper pin or the like to a brush body and a smooth operation of the pin. SOLUTION: A support piece 11, formed with a locking part 14, is provided at a leading end a shaft 13 erected on a base 12. A stopper unit 10, having a shaft of piece loosely inserted into a through holder 16 of a stopper pin 15 and a spring 17 mounted in a compressed state between a rear part of the pin and the base, in such a manner that the pin is elastically pressed toward the locking part side by the spring, is provided. The unit 10 is inserted into a hole 3 of a prescribed depth formed at a head of the brush body 2 for supplying a power to a commutator of a motor to provide a copper powder stop. Thus, when the body 2 reaches the friction limit, the pin 15 is made to fly out, while being guided to the shaft 13.
