PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain system performance by avoiding the delay of a service providing time although a database is accessed each time a retrieval condition is inputted in a conventional method for retrieving and outputting information from the database stored with data which are made open to an intranet and the Internet and updated at certain intervals. SOLUTION: Data retrieved from the database 22 once and their retrieval condition expression are stored together in a displayed information database 14 provided separately from the database 22. At a request for retrieval based upon a retrieval condition expression, retrieval from the displayed information database 14 is preferentially carried out and when objective data are not stored in the database, retrieval from the database 22 is also performed. The data stored in the displayed information database 14 are periodically updated as the data stored in the database 22 are updated.
