PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multicolor image of high quality by making fixing ability of a toner image of multiple colors to be the most appropriate in an image forming device where a toner image on a photoreceptor is transferred to an intermediate transfer rotating body and the toner image is transferred and fixed to a recording medium by being melted. SOLUTION: In the device, a toner image on the photoreceptor 1 is transferred to the intermediate transfer rotating body 10, this transfer toner image is melt transferred to the recording medium 18 that is sequentially wrapped to a press drum 12 for each color and at this stage, a heat roll 26 is provided to heat the recording medium before the toner image is melted by coming into contact with the recording medium.
