PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize a retrieval path of a retrieval program which retrieves multimedia information. SOLUTION: An audiovisual device 13 runs the retrieval program and information on a transition path to a target retrieval picture is recorded and sent to a customer management system 121. The customer management system 121 totalizes the transition path information and modifies the contents of the retrieval program according to the totalization result to perform retrieval with the best path, and a broadcasting device 122 sends the program to the audiovisual device 13.
