Particulate laundry and other detergents contain: (a) mutants of a protease of the subtilisin type, in which at least one of the positions 3, 4, 99, 188, 193,199 and 211 (BLAP (Bacillus lentus alkaline protease) numbering) contains an amino-acid different from the amino-acid at this position in the wild type protease; and (b) coated particulate alkali percarbonate, plus usual ingredients compatible with these gents. Particulate laundry and other detergents containing protease and percarbonate contain: (a) mutants of a protease of the subtilisin type, in which at least one of the positions 3, 4, 99, 188, 193,199 and 211 (BLAP (Bacillus lentus alkaline protease) numbering) contains an amino-acid different from the amino-acid at this position in the wild type protease; and (b) particulate alkali percarbonate coated with alkali(ne earth) sulfate or halide, alkali silicate, (hydrogen) carbonate, phosphate or (per)borate, partly hydrated aluminosilicate, (di)carboxylic acid and/or polymers of unsaturated carboxylic and/or dicarboxylic acids, in addition to usual ingredients compatible with these agents. An independent claim is also included for the use of a combination of the subtilisin-type protease mutant and coated particulate alkali percarbonate for improving the cleaning power of laundry and other detergents for soil containing protein.
