Olefin polymerization is performed in the presence of a catalyst comprising a compound of the formulawherein M is a Group 3-10 transition metal;A is O, S, N-R'', or P-R'';L is an anionic ligand;X is hydride, halide, C1-C20 alkoxy, siloxy, hydrocarbyl, or dialkylamido;R, R', and R'', which are the same or different, are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C1-C20 hydrocarbyl; andm+n equals the valency of M minus 1; andan activator.
