PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a driver from feeling a sense of incongruity by making an accurate judgment on road conditions. SOLUTION: This vehicle control device has a present position detecting means for detecting the present position; a data recording part 16 for recording road condition data; a vehicle control setting means 91 for setting vehicle control on the basis of the present position and road condition data; a road condition judging means 92 for judging road conditions on the basis of road condition judgment data out of the road condition data in a judgment range set backward and frontward from a specified reference point; and a vehicle control executing means 93 for executing the vehicle control on the basis of the judged result of the road condition judging means 92. The road conditions can be accurately judged since the judgment of the road conditions does not differ depending on a travel direction.
