PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain pipe apparatus equipped with a cover, which positively prevents the drain pipe and the cover from sticking to each other when an earthen floor concrete layer is placed, is enhanced in sealing performance thereof by the cover after the installation of the drain pipe, and is easily handled. SOLUTION: The drain pipe apparatus is installed in the earthen floor concrete layer placed on the underfloor ground of a house. The drain pipe apparatus is comprised of a main cylinder portion 30, the cover portion 40, and a protective cylinder 60. The main cylinder portion 30 penetrates through the earthen floor concrete layer 18, and has its lower end arranged in the underfloor ground and its upper end arranged on a surface of the earthen concrete layer 18. The cover portion 40 covers an upper end of the main cylinder portion 30 and is detachably attached to the same. The protective cylinder 60 is detachably fitted on the periphery of the main cylinder portion 30 and the cover portion 40 in a manner enclosing the same. Further, the protective cylinder 60 has an indicating section 62 indicating a concrete pouring allowable range of the earthen floor concrete layer 18, on the periphery thereof.
