PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a planographic printing plate excellent in printing resistance and chemical resistance and free from a residual color. SOLUTION: A photosensitive planographic printing plate obtained by coating the top of an aluminum substrate with a photosensitive composition containing a high molecular compound having a sulfonamido group, insoluble in water and soluble in an alkaline aqueous solution and a positive working photosensitive compound is exposed and developed with a developing solution of pH 9.0-13.5 containing at least one nonreducing sugar and at least one base to produce the objective planographic printing plate. |
