PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability in video switching or cross fade editing. SOLUTION: When a knob 2 is slid to a right-most end V1 or left-most end V4 of a slide switch 1 and detached by a visual jockey, the knob 2 is returned automatically to a position V2 or V3 a little closer to the center. Each time the slide switch 1 is operated, a video editor 300 displays video A in 100% and video B in 100% at positions V1-V2 or V3-V4 or displays the video A and the video B, while mixing them in the ratio corresponding to a position at positions V2-V3. When a changeover switch 204 is operated, the video editor 300 switches the display to for 100% video A or 100% video B.
