A rotary printing machine having a plurality of printing-unit cylinders mounted one above another on a side wall, their axes lying in a plane inclined with respect to the plane of the printing-material web. An image-setting device is arranged wholly within the range of the obtuse angle which is formed by the plane of inclination of the cylinders and the plane o f the printing-material web.
