<p>The closure device for a road vehicle glove box cover involves a closure latch (10) and a motor drive device for withdrawing the cover from a secured position, in which a closure component (6) of the cover is in engagement with the closure latch, into a closed position in which the cover is drawn against a glove box aperture. In order to avoid the risk of the cover jamming in the closed position, on opening the cover the drive device in the closed position exerts a force via the closure latch on the cover, in order to press it, supported by its own weight, in the direction of a release position, in which the closure component is released from the latch.</p> |
