PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt sander capable of coping with a complicated curved surface shape without using a plurality of tools, capable of keeping the accuracy of a shape high, and capable of enhancing the service life of a belt. SOLUTION: In this belt sander 10, an endless sander belt 13 rotated by a belt driving means 12 mounted on a frame 11 is pressed against and slid on a surface 15 of a workpiece 14 made of wood, thus sanding the workpiece 14 to form a surface of first order thereon. This sander 10 is equipped with roller advancing/retreating means 20 to 22 capable of individually moving a plurality of rollers 17 to 19 toward to away from the workpiece 14, the rollers 17 to 19 being pressed against an inner surface 16 of the belt 13 and rotated by the belt 13. |
