PURPOSE: A transmission apparatus for preventing a data overflow is provided to prevent a data overflow at a reception terminal by varying a data transmission clock speed at the next transmission terminal after sensing data processing state information of the reception terminal while transmitting data. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus includes a transmission terminal shift register(10), a FIFO(20), a reception terminal shift register(30) and a voltage controlled clock oscillation part(40). The transmission terminal shift register stores parallel data inputted for transmission temporarily and outputs a serial data stream by shifting the stored parallel data step by step according to a clock signal(CLK) applied from the clock oscillation part. The FIFO stores the serial data stream and outputs it to the reception terminal shift register serially in sequence, and informs an HF(Half Full) signal and an AF(Almost Full) signal to the clock oscillation part. The reception terminal shift register stores the serial data stream temporarily applied from the FIFO and outputs parallel data by shifting the stored serial data stream step by step according to the clock signal from the clock oscillation part. The voltage controlled clock oscillation part comprises an oscillation control part(41) and a voltage controlled oscillator(42). The oscillation control part controls the speed of the clock signal by controlling the voltage controlled oscillator according to the HF signal and the AF signal.
