PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tea leaf crusher usable easily by hand. SOLUTION: A main body part 16 is formed into a cylindrical body with an outside diameter graspable by one hand and a mortar storing recessed part 28 is formed. An upper mortar 26 and a lower mortar 24 are stored within the mortar storing recessed part 28 and tea leaves are ground and crushed between the mortars 26, 24. A battery 21 is arranged at the inside of the main body part 16. An electric motor 32 is arranged at the inside of the main body part 16 and is rotated due to power supply from the battery 21. A speed reduction gear mechanism 38 is arranged just under the mortar storing recessed part 28 at the inside of the main body part 16 so that an output shaft may be projected from an inner bottom surface of the mortar storing recessed part 28, reduces rotational speed of the electric motor 32, transmits torque to the lower mortar 24 via an output shaft 38a and relatively rotates the upper mortar 26 and the lower mortar 24.
