PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject compact reaping section intended for the simplification of mounting carrying chains and cost reduction. SOLUTION: This reaping section for a combine harvester has four dividers 11, three raisers 13 set behind these dividers, cutting blades 15, and right star wheel 20, intermediate star wheel 21 and left star wheel 22, and has such a scheme as to carry grain culms toward the joining area A on the left side of the reaping section 4 with the above three star wheels, wherein the right star wheel 20 and the intermediate star wheel 21 are made to interlock with each other via chains 28, and of these chains, behind the chain 28 on the front side in the machine body advancing direction, a chain guide rail 32 is furnished.
