PURPOSE: A Hangul character communication system using a numeric keypad is provided to offer a method useful for radio paging service providers and applicable to portable terminals so that more callers who have learned character input methods through various paths can use it. CONSTITUTION: In button 1 having an example of 4413 or 5331, "hieuk" is arranged. "lieul" is allocated to button 2 showing examples, such as 8282, 8272, etc.. "siot" is arranged in button 4 having 4989 as an example. "digeuk" and "tieuk" are allocated to button 5. "nieun" is allocated to button. "jieuk" and "chieuk" are allocated to button 7 having 7788 and 7942 as examples. "bieub" and "pieub" are arranged in the eighth button having 8282 and 8585 as examples. "gieuk" and "kieuk" are allocated to the ninth button. "ieung" is allocated to button 0 having an identical shape to "ieung". "mieum" is allocated to button 3. For vowels, "a", "." , and "eu" are allocated to buttons 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
