PURPOSE: To provide a net device for protecting a pitcher from being hit with a hit ball, capable of being easily manufactured and carried. CONSTITUTION: This net device is composed of a frame 4 vertically extended and mounted on the ground 3 for covering a pitcher from his front part, and a net 6 mounted on the frame 4 for closing a space 5 surrounded by an outer edge part of the frame 4. The frame 4 is composed of a main frame 10 forming a side part at one side R in the width direction W of the frame 4, and a sub- frame 11 projecting to the other side L in the width direction W from a lower part of the main frame 10 to form the other side L of the frame 4. A downwardly deflectable extension net 24 is mounted for closing a corner space 23 between a side edge part at the other side L of an upper part of the main frame 10 and an upper edge part of the sub-frame 11. A deflection amount of an upper edge part 30 of the extension net 24 is adjustable by an adjusting means 34.
