PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sodium battery in which a cost reduction is aimed at by reducing the number of necessary parts and by having a simple configuration, and in which reliability/durability is enhanced. SOLUTION: In the sodium battery wherein a solid electrolyte tube 3 is inserted into an outer tube 1 and a guard tube 5 is inserted into the solid electrolyte tube 3, wherein these outer tube 1, solid electrolyte tube 3 and guard tube 5 are integrally coupled and fixed at the respective opening end side, and wherein a positive electrode active substance 2 and negative electrode active substance 4 are filled up at the state that they are separated at the inside and outside of solid electrolyte tube 3, a coupling member A is constituted from the first insulation ring 71 and the second insulation ring 72 screwed mutually, and by clamping them, the first coupling end 11 which has been formed at an opening end side of outer tube 1 and the second coupling end 51 which has been formed at an opening end side of the guard tube 5 are constituted to be clamped and fixed.
