PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a similarity judgement based on a brand examination reference with a simple algorithm. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a phoneme number operating means for obtaining the number of phonemes in one name at least and a difference between the numbers of phonemes in both names on the basis on both the names as similarity judgement objects, a different phoneme extracting means for obtaining the pair of phonemes mutually different between both the names and the number of differences as the number of these pairs, and a similarity judgement processing means capable of performing first similarity judging processing and second similarity judging processing in the case of the same number of phonemes and a difference for one phoneme on the basis of the difference between the numbers of phonemes and the number of differences, performing third similarity judging processing and fourth similarity judging processing in the case of one phoneme difference and a difference for one phoneme, respectively performing first similarity judging processing and third similarity judging processing for each of different parts in the case of a difference for two phonemes, and judging non-similarity in the case of a difference more than three phonemes.
