PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid for camera that can be readily assembled by housing a movable iron core and a spring for returning the movable iron core integrally in a bobbin of an magnetizing coil and attaching a power supply terminal of the magnetizing coil integrally to the bobbin. SOLUTION: A guide hole 16 formed in a bobbin 15 is composed of a first guide hole 16a having a small diameter, and a second guide hole 16b having large diameter. A movable iron core 20 moving in this guide hole 16 has a cylindrical shape having substantially the same diameter as the inner diameter of the first guide hole 16a, and a disengagement preventing protrusion 20a having substantially the same diameter as the inner diameter of the second guide hole 16b is provided on a peripheral surface on its one end side. A spring 21 for returning the movable iron core and a fixed iron core 22 are inserted into the second guide hole 16b and assemble integrally with a yoke 11. By magnetization and demagnetization of a magnetizing coil 19, the movable iron core 20 is moved between a position at which the movable iron core is brought into contact with a step formed by the disengagement preventing protrusion 20a and a border of the first guide hole 16a and the second guide hole 16b and becomes stationary, and a position at which the movable iron core is brought into contact with the fixed iron core and becomes stationary.
