摘要 PURPOSE: A turbo charger using a variable exhaust pressure adjusting valve is provided to apply a path to all areas of low, mid and high loads by adjusting the path depending on the area of exhaust pressure by a variable valve. CONSTITUTION: An intake pipe(7) and an exhaust pipe(4) are mounted in a combustion chamber(1) of an engine. A compressor(5) and a compressed air cooler(6) are installed on the intake pipe. A turbine(3) is set in the exhaust pipe to be operated by exhaust gas. An exhaust pressure adjusting valve(2) is controlled by an exhaust pressure sensor(8) and an adjusting valve controller(9). The valve opens/closes an exhaust gas discharge path including each exhaust gas discharge path(12,13,14) at low, mid and high load respectively. Exhaust gas is discharged through the exhaust pipe from the combustion chamber. A valve plate is rotated by a command of the adjusting valve controller, referring to data measured from the exhaust pressure sensor. Thereby, one of the plural exhaust gas discharge paths for each low, mid and high load is selected. The exhaust gas is discharged through the selected exhaust gas discharge path and then through the exhaust pipe with rotating the turbine. The compressor connected with the turbine sucks, compresses and blows air to a cooler(6). Therefore, the cooled air is supplied to the combustion chamber through an intake port.
