摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device which excite a laser crystal with high efficiency by using a Brewster angle for generating a high output laser light. SOLUTION: A pumping light 1 is made to enter a laser crystal 2 practically with a Brewster angle, so that the p-polarized light component of the pumping light 1 is absorbed effectively in the laser crystal 2. The pumping light 1 can enter from two surfaces of the laser crystal 2, and damage of resonator mirrors 4, 5 can be prevented.
