<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device which is easily miniaturized by optimizing device performance. SOLUTION: There are provided a light-emitting element 13 which projects light to a scale 10, a photodetector 14 which detects the light from the scale 10, and a wiring board 11 which supports the photodetector 14 and the light- emitting element 13 while electrically connected to the photodetector 14. The light-emitting element 13 and the photodetector 14 are arranged so that the light-emitting element 13 is positioned on an end side on the surface opposite to the surface of the wiring board 11 which faces the scale 10 for polymerization/joint. A translucent part 12 is provided in a region corresponding to a light- emitting surface of the light-emitting element 13 and a light-receiving surface of the photodetector 14 of the wiring board 11.</p> |
