PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel automatic changeover device that requires no full-time monitor of an input signal different from a conventional manual channel switching method and broadcasts no defective signals for a prescribed time in the case of channel switching. SOLUTION: An error number detected by an error detection circuit of a decoder is superimposed on a decoder output signal advanced temporally, while the decoder requires time for its signal processing (error correction and decoding) and monitors the superimposed error information (22) and before the defective error correction-disabled signal error correction-disabled is outputted, so that a nondefective signal is selected automatically (23).
