<p>An optical arm for guiding a laser beam consists of a succession of tubes (3, 4, 5) coupled to each other by anti-friction bearings (18, 19), the beam being propagated in the tubes; several axial reflecting mirrors (11, 12) each placed at the entrance of one of the tubes; a component (1) at the input end through which the laser beam enters the system, mounted on the output of a device for generating a laser beam in such a way that it can be detached; and a component (2) at the end of the system where the laser beam leaves it, adapted so that it cooperates with a manual device for the application of the laser beam. The optical arm incorporates a device (29; 47) for braking the rotational motion, operating on the first two coupled tubes (3, 4) near the end at which the beam enters, and a balancing system (34) mounted on the second coupled tube (4) from the said input end. <IMAGE></p> |
