PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil fired hot-water boiler provided with a shielding body which can accurately shield rain water entering from an exhaust opening so that the water may not enter an exhaust path in the upper part of a heat chamber. SOLUTION: The shielding body which is provided in an exhaust box 9 and shields the rain water entering from an exhaust hole 12 so that the water may not enter the exhaust path 8 is constituted of an upper shielding plate 15 composed of a hung-down section C which is fixed to the top face of the box 9, has a vent hole E in its upper part, and is faced to the upper part of the exhaust opening 9a and a backwardly bent section D which is formed by backwardly bending the lower end of the section C, a lower shielding plate 16 composed of an erected section F which is provided on the bottom of the box 9 in the rear of the shielding plate and faced to the lower part of the exhaust opening 9a and a horizontal section G which is formed by forwardly bending the upper end of the section F, and an auxiliary upper shielding plate 17 which is fixed to the top face of the box in the rear of the vent hole E.
